PERFORMER APPLICATIONS FOR 2023 WILL OPEN WITH REGISTRATION on Feb 1
Fusion Evolution includes 2 stunning gala shows! The Friday and Saturday Revolve Shows will feature the 2023 Fusion Evolution instructors, special guests, and selected participants. Information regarding the shows, submissions and guidelines are below.

Fusion Evolution brings you two nights of performances showcasing this year’s teachers and selected participants. Performances will be featured on the Fusion Evolution raised stage . If you are an artist or troupe interested in performing in one of the Revolve shows, complete the application on your account page.

Q. Do performers need to buy tickets to the show they are in?
A. No. Performers have free admission to the show they are performing in. Performers are welcome to watch the show in cover-up or non-performance attire from the back of the house or in GA seats but might not be guaranteed a seat if the show is sold out.
Q. Can I bring musicians to perform with live music?
A. Of course, we love live music! Please include a note on your application that you are using live music. Also remember to adhere to the appropriate time limit and plan for your musicians to bring their own equipment.
Q. If one of this year's instructors has invited me to perform with them, do I need to apply?
A. No, you do not need to apply. However, each person performing would still be required to register for the minimum number of workshop hours.
Q. Does my act have to be appropriate for all ages?
A. We ask that you use your best judgement. Please keep in mind that there will likely be children in the audience. The shows are also advertised to the general public as a belly dance event. Please consider this when selecting your music and performance type.
-Mild cursing in lyrics is okay, but lyrics with misogynistic, violent, hateful, or discriminatory imagery will not be accepted.
-Costuming must adequately cover all private areas.
Q. Are there other restrictions or info on performances?
A. There can be no fire performing of any kind, per our venue's fire code.
Keep in mind that we are in a hotel ballroom and not a theater. There will be stage lighting for all shows. However, the lighting cannot be adjusted and there will not be blackouts between performances. There will be pipe and drape on both sides of the stage and a solid black backdrop with red Sari draped accents. There is no downstage curtain that can be opened and closed.

Performer Submission Process:
February 1, 2023
- The application form is available on your account page. Once you have read through the information on this page, click on the link below to continue to your account. The login will be the same used for your workshop registration. The 'performance application' button is located on the left side of your account page. Once your application(s) have been submitted, you'll be able to view or edit the application(s) by clicking "my account" in the top right corner of the registration site.
- The application on the web site will disappear at the end of the day. We will not accept applications after this date.
- Alterations to your application can be made up to March 31st. All requirements must be met by March 31st for your application be accepted.
- Performers will be notified of their acceptance and what their next steps are.
- Performers will be listed on the 'Shows' page of the Fusion Evolution website in alphabetical order
- The selected performers will receive email instructions on how to log into the Performer Access page.
- A link to the 'performer music and info form' will be available on the Performer Access page.
- All performance information and music is due. If you miss this deadline, you run the risk of losing your spot to someone on the waitlist.
- Applicants who have been selected to be placed on the waitlist will be notified if a performance spot becomes available within the Revolve Shows.
- The official lineups will be available to view on the performer access page. The lineups will also be listed on the Fusion Evolution/Revolve website. Modification to the program cannot be made after this date.

Performer Guidelines and Requirements:
- Each dancer interested in performing must be registered for a minimum of 6 workshop hours by the application deadline of March 15*. Please note; if you are applying as a duet or more, each member of your troupe must meet the requirements by the deadline.
- A performance video is required. The video performance should represent the style in which you plan to perform. Soloists, please send a video performance of a solo performance.
- The performer applying must include a website or social media profile link (YouTube, Facebook, Instagram)
- For soloists, the performance time is 4 minutes MAX.
- For duets and troupes, the performance time is 5 minutes MAX
- Before applying, please be sure you and each troupe member is available to perform in either Revolve Show.
Additional notes, restrictions, the fine print and such
- Participants can apply to perform twice between both shows as long as there is less than a 50% overlap of performers per troupe. (i.e. A teacher may perform with a student troupe of 3 or more on Friday and perform again as a soloist on Saturday or a duet can perform with a troupe of 5 or more, a trio can perform with a troupe of 7 or more…and so on)
- Time limits are firm. Please review them and plan accordingly. In fairness to all performers, we will ask you to edit down your song length if it goes over the specified time.
- Deadlines are firm. A lot of work goes into creating the Shows. In order to make sure all aspects run smoothly and timely, we require the info and completed requirements by the dates specified.
